About Us
Our goal is to create a keepsake from Maine by using local labor and materials. The postcards are handcrafted in central Maine from Maine's abundant supply of Eastern White Pine. They are printed using an inkjet process with water-based inks. They are finished and sealed with a water-based lacquer finish.
By substituting birch plywood for the pine boards, we can eliminate the resawing, planing, and sanding steps. The printing and finishing are the same but, now we can offer these cards at a much lower price.
Now anyone can own their own piece of Maine.

Eight inch pine boards are resawed to reduce waste

The resulting boards are planed to final thickness of 1/4" and then cut to size

The blanks are then routed to shape

They are sanded on both sides

After they are sanded smooth, they are sprayed with two coats of a water-based lacquer on both sides and then printed with the various designs

They are then returned for a final coat of lacquer to seal the ink to ensure their resistance to moisture and durability

After their final time in the drying rack, the proper postage is applied, they are then finally ready for shipment.
